22nd Street Park is an 18-acre park on the site of a former tank farm in San Pedro across from 22nd Street Landing at the Port of Los Angeles. The park offers walking and biking trails, shade trees, a bocce ball court, restrooms, ample parking and more than four-acres of flat grassy area for recreation — all with a water view.

Battleship IOWA

Commissioned in 1943, this 887-foot, 45,000-ton World War II battleship has been designated the “World’s Greatest Naval Ship”.  The USS IOWA served our country for over 50 years and no other battleship in our nation’s history has been host to more U.S. Presidents than the IOWA.

Bloch Field is community baseball field operated by Eastview Little League located at 1500 S Harbor Blvd. in San Pedro. The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), and subsequently the San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA, has operated the 2.10-acre Bloch Field as a community and servicemen’s athletic field since 1945.

Santa Catalina Island is only 22 miles off the Southern California coast, but a world away! The Catalina Sea and Air Terminal is located on the Los Angeles Cruise Ship Promenade in San Pedro, which is freeway accessible from Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The terminal offers two eateries: The Express Grill, open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Catalina Bistro, open for breakfast and lunch daily, as well as a dinner menu on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Clock Tower of the Port of Los Angeles was built in 1942 on what was the then-new Municipal Ferry Building.  The clock tower is an iconic part of the waterfront, visible from the Downtown Harbor at the bottom of 6th Street at Harbor Boulevard.  (clock tower is not accessible to the public)

Fort MacArthur Military Museum / Battery Osgood Farley

Established in 1985 and dedicated to the history of Fort MacArthur, was once a U.S. Army post which guarded the Los Angeles harbor from 1914 to 1974.  This unique museum is housed in the corridors and galleries of historic Battery Osgood-Farley, a key historical structure which enabled the U.S. Army to defend the American continental coastline from invasion.

Historical Fireboat Ralph J. Scott - Fire Station #112

This fireboat was commissioned in 1925 and served the LA Fire Department until 2003. Currently on display near Fire Station 112 at the LA Waterfront, the fireboat is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Los Angeles Harbor Light (Angels Gate)

Located on the San Pedro Breakwater, this historic lighthouse has marked the entrance to the Port of Los Angeles since 1913. The lighthouse is firmly anchored to a concrete block and built of steel reinforced concrete - the only lighthouse ever built to this design. It is the only lighthouse to use a rotating green light. In 2013, Angels Gate Lighthouse will celebrate its centennial year of service. No pedestrian access.

Point Fermin Park / Lighthouse

Built in 1874, out of California Redwood, it served for nearly 100 years aiding ships into port safely. This graceful Victorian style building, now museum, is surrounded by colorful gardens. It is one of the oldest lighthouses on the West Coast. Tours are available.

Built in 1928, this seven-story building has both neoclassical and baroque architectural characteristics. On the 7th floor is an old jail that was nicknamed “7th Heaven.” Today, many of the LA City Departments and the 15th District Council Office occupy the building.

The Banning Museum

This former residence of General Phineas Banning, a founder of the City of Los Angeles, was built in 1864. An extensive collection of Victorian decorative arts and furnishings are housed in this 23-room Greek Revival mansion situated on 20-acre park in Wilmington.

U.S. Post Office, San Pedro

Constructed in 1936 as a Public Works Administration project, this post office formerly served as a U.S. Customs Office. The building showcases an extensive use of marble, bronze and milk glass that are indicative of the Art Deco period. The mail transportation oil-on-canvas mural depicts how mail is transported no matter the conditions.

Vincent Thomas Bridge

Completed in 1963, the Vincent Thomas Bridge is 6,050 feet in length. It is the third largest suspension bridge in California after the Golden Gate and San Francisco Bay bridges, respectively. Named after Assemblyman Vincent Thomas of San Pedro, this bridge is the official welcoming landmark for the City of Los Angeles. No pedestrian access.

Designed by B. Marcus Prieca, the former architect for the Pantages Theater chain, this lavish Art Deco Theater opened in January 1931. The Warner Grand is the last of the three original Warner Bros.

Wilmington Waterfront Park

The Wilmington Waterfront Park, formerly known as the Harry Bridges Boulevard Buffer Project, was designed as an element of the Berths 136-147 (TraPac) Container Terminal Project Environmental Impact Report (EIR) approved by the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners in 2007 to provide public open space between Port operations and adjacent residences in Wilmington.
