FREQUENTLY ASKED CRUISE QUESTIONS

No, the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are two different ports located very close to one another. The Port of Los Angeles operates the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, a community located within the City of Los Angeles. The Long Beach Cruise Terminal is in the nearby City of Long Beach. The easiest way to determine your port of call is to check your itinerary for a seaport code, which are the same as the corresponding airport codes:

Driving Directions:

The Los Angeles World Cruise Center is in San Pedro is approximately 18 miles (29 kilometers) south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), 25 miles (40 kilometers) south of downtown Los Angeles and 10 miles (16 kilometers) west of Long Beach, with easy freeway access from both directions.

From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX):
Travel southbound on the San Diego Freeway (Interstate 405), then southbound on the Harbor Freeway (I-110). Exit at Harbor Boulevard and proceed straight through the Harbor Boulevard intersection. Turn right to enter the World Cruise Center.
 
From downtown Los Angeles:
Travel southbound on the Harbor Freeway (I-110). Exit at Harbor Boulevard and proceed straight through the Harbor Boulevard intersection. Turn right to enter the World Cruise Center.
 
From Long Beach:
Travel westbound on Ocean Boulevard, Seaside Avenue and the Vincent Thomas Bridge (CA-47). Exit at Harbor Boulevard and proceed straight through the Harbor Boulevard intersection. Turn right to enter the World Cruise Center.

Overnight parking is available at the World Cruise Center and no reservations are required. Lots are open seven days/week, 24 hours/day. Parking rates are $2 each hour, with an $18 daily maximum. Cash (USD), traveler's cheques, and debit/credit cards are accepted.

Courtesy shuttles are provided within the cruise terminal on scheduled ship days. Shuttles are not wheelchair accessible; it is recommended that passengers and luggage be dropped off in front of the terminal prior to parking. For more information, call Parking Concepts at (310) 547-4357.

There are two rental car companies located in Downtown San Pedro near the World Cruise Center that offer free customer pick-ups and drop-offs to the terminal. Both convenient locations operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and are closed Sunday.

SuperShuttle® Transportation Systems operates door-to-door ground transportation throughout Los Angeles. Reservations from the airport to a residence, hotel, or business are not required unless accessible van service is needed. Due to security issues, baggage cannot be stored on the terminal. Please contact your cruise line to make arrangements to check your baggage with the cruise ship. Carry-on baggage must stay with the passenger until you on board. After you disembark, you must take all your baggage with you.
